DONAS Esta parroquia, que sólo cuenta con ocho casas y 12 habitantes, tiene una extensión aproximada de 1,20 km2 siendo la más pequeña de Galicia. El nombre de la parroquia procede del antiguo convento de San Breixome, residencia de religiosas Benedictinas (donas: señoras). Se encuentra en un pequeño valle que se forma en la vuelta del río Ulla inmediatamente antes de la Garganta del Gundián, con un altitud media de 182m. Sus tierras son muy produtivas y permiten recoger hasta tres cosechas anuales. Destacan las aguas sulfurosas de fuentes, así como las termales ya en los límites con la población de Caldelas. IGLESIA PARROQUIAL DE SAN PEDRO DE DONAS. Aparece descrita en 1748 en estado ruinoso por lo que se acomete la necesaria reforma. A pesar de los arreglos, se conservan los muros de la antigua estructura barroca de la capilla mayor. Mientres que el exterior mantiene vigentes los trazos de las obras de la segunda mitad del siglo XIX siguiendo pautas historicistas, con muros desprovistos de decoración y lisos, junto a un tipo de campanario habitual de estos años con un solo cuerpo y final piramidal. CASA GRANDE DE DONAS. Antigua residencia de las religiosas benedictinas y actualmente reformada y vinculada a una gran explotación agraria. Ligada a la familia García Trazar conserva su estructura original con columnas de cantería, cinco lagares para el vino, un hórreo en madera sobre pilares de cantería y un antiguo palomar. CATARATA DE DONAS . Espectacular salto de agua en el que el desnivel del terreno obliga al río Pontillón a caer formando tres cataratas que constituyen las de mayor altura do ayuntamiento.
DONAS This parish, which has only eight houses and 12 inhabitants, it has an approximate surface of 1,20 km2 being the smallest of Galicia. The name of the parish comes from San Breixome’s former convent, residence of Benedictine nuns. (Donas). It is in a small valley that a later part forms river Ulla just before the Throat of Gundián, with an average altitude of 182 m. BIG HOUSE OF DONAS. Old residence of the Benedictine nuns and now reformed and linked to a great agricultural exploitation. Tied to the family García Trazar preserves his original structure with columns of masonry, five warehouses of wine, a barn of wood and columns of stone and a former dovecot. DONAS WATERFALL. Spectacular jump of water in which the difference of the area forces the river Pontillón to falling down forming three waterfalls that compose the major height of the town hall.
